Rob MacGregor won last year's West Coast event piloting an old-school F-100 with new parts and a renewed spirit. Not settling for status quo, Rob set out to build something no one had ever seen before—a '69 Chevy C10. Yes, you read that right. Before we get hate mail saying everything has been done to a C10, take a look at the photos and build specs and then take a deep breath. Rob's truck features a full tube chassis, unibody exterior, Speedway Quick-change rearend, and 335-series tires…front and rear. See what we mean about being different? At just over 3,000 pounds, the C10 is a rocket ship with 419 rwhp, but the handmade shifter proved tricky when launching, and finding the right gear was an issue. Worry not, Rob got it figured out, and proceeded to show the field how a purpose-built race truck can assign butt kickings. He won the Race Class slalom, road course, and stop box challenges. The scary part is Rob was really just learning the truck, as it was a fresh build with minimal miles on it. What that means for the rest of the field for 2013 is you better bring it, or Rob is going to take home his third straight victory in next year's competition. Keep your eyes peeled in the coming months, as we'll be showing you how the No Limit team built this monster.
