Ford F-250 - Back in Black
This F-250 is Ready to Rock Out
Black on black is a menacing style that looks good on most cars and trucks, but when it’s on a lifted 4WD Super Duty, it looks downright nasty. For Tim White of Houston, having a badass truck was a requirement to tow his toys and show off a plethora of Wet Sounds audio gear. After just a few short months of working on the big Ford, Tim had just the truck he was hoping for. Here’s how it happened.
Thanks to Kopriva Body Works, also in Houston, the Super Duty received a new RBP RX2 grille, painted bumpers, and a heavy dose of Tuxedo Black paint. Adding to the truck’s mean-looking frontend, Recon projector lights were outfitted with HID bulbs. Truck Toyz Performance, in McAllen, Texas, handled the Icon Vehicle Dynamics 8-inch lift, and also installed an H&S Mini Maxx tuner, Bulletproof Diesel EGR delete, and aFe intake. Giving the Ford some real style, 24-inch BMF M-80 wheels were bolted on with Nitto Trail Grappler 38x13.50R24 mud-terrain tires. Amp Research motorized running boards and a Pace Edwards–powered tonneau cover add convenience to the package.
Inside, three 10-inch Wet Sounds SS-10 subs were installed behind the rear seat, and under that seat an amp rack was created to house a pair of Wet Sounds amplifiers. Each door houses 6½-inch Wet Sounds components, which sound like a concert hall thanks to the sound insulation.
Ready to tow, show and go, Tim’s Super Duty is a great example of a daily driver that is always ready to rock out.
