For 29-year-old Jerrett Brewer of Luling, Texas, flipping through automotive magazines has always led to big dreams of custom vehicle projects. Even as a kid, he found himself daydreaming of what it would be like to build a custom truck, have it featured in a magazine, and share it with the world. Years later, he finally had the resources to make that dream a reality, so he picked up a brand-new 2011 Silverado 2500HD to serve as his blank canvas.
The 2500HD's transformation began at TC Customs, in Adkins, Texas, where a complete Full Throttle Suspension (FTS) lift kit was installed. The front of the truck received new tubular A-arms, differential drop brackets, and massive dual FTS 2.0 remote-reservoir shocks with matching hoops. In the rear, beefy FTS leaf springs and two more sets of dual 2.0 shocks were bolted up to the rear axle. With the new suspension setup yielding 15 inches of lift, the factory rolling stock would never do, so new 22-inch Fuel wheels and 40-inch Toyo tires were fitted on all four corners. With the truck's aggressive stance complete, it was time to match it with plenty of horsepower and stump-pulling torque.

From the factory, this Chevy's 6.6L Duramax engine produces a respectable 397 hp and 765 lb-ft of torque. Nevertheless, this wasn't nearly enough for Jerrett, so an S&B cool-air intake, Edge Race Evolution tuner, and MBRP 5-inch exhaust were bolted on. With these upgrades freeing up some ponies, the rest of the drivetrain was reinforced with Yukon 4.56 gears, an Alligator Stage V shift kit, and custom lengthened driveshaft. Even with the truck's 40-inch rubber, these mods provide plenty of thrust for passing nearby motorists.
Satisfied with the Chevy's newfound speed, the TC Customs crew moved on to paint and body. Front and rear Road Armor bumpers add a rugged look, while Recon lighting, a T-Rex grille, and an ATC tonneau cover were the only other accents the Chevy needed to look truly mean. TC Customs paint pro Tom Mix laid down a two-tone of Black and White PPG paint, with the midsection split by blue-accented flame graphics. In addition to the exterior, much of the underbody was either sprayed in a matching PPG Blue or chrome-plated, producing an eye-catching look. The dash, engine bay accents, and even the wheel faces also received coats of matching paint.

Finally, attention was turned to the interior and electronics. Phillip Hardeman of Luling, Texas, applied black and white perforated leather to the seating, reinforcing the Chevy's two-tone theme. The impressive sound system consists of a Pioneer head unit, Alpine 6½-inch component speakers, two Alpine 10-inch subs, Alpine amps, and three 7½-inch monitors. Lastly, blue LED lighting was wired up throughout the underbody, illuminating the truck's extensive suspension mods.

Jerrett said of his build, “I give all the credit to the guys who put in long hours to get it done. It's truly a dream come true to own a truck like this.” Specifically, Jerrett would like to thank TC Customs, his friends and family, and all of his sponsors for helping complete this project
Inside the Build
