Kelly Fromm Draws Attention To Wounded Warriors
Kelly Fromm is a man with a big heart. He was in the Army for 16 years before leaving for medical reasons. But his love for his fellow soldiers has never faded. When Kelly built a Camaro (Veteran1) to honor the sacrifice of those who serve our country, he took it all around America on a tour that would rival some rock bands, covering more than 3,500 miles.
The Rev-It-Up for Wounded Warriors Memorial Tour took Veteran1 to many, many events. The car has been to military bases (and the Pentagon!), VA nursing homes, national parades, and much more. Kelly directly raised thousands of dollars for several groups, among them the Wounded Warrior Project, the Active Dogs Academy Service Dog Foundation, and the Clyde E. Lassen State Veterans' Nursing Home in St. Augustine, Florida.
To do this, Kelly needed a strong and reliable truck to pull the trailer with Veteran1 on it. His choice? A '12 Chevy Silverado 3500 HD 4x4 that he calls American Pride. But since Kelly likes modified vehicles, there was no way he was going to leave it stock. The most obvious need was for more fuel onboard, so Kelly went with a Transfer Flow 60-gallon tank. That solved the issue right away.
To make the truck sit up proud, Kelly added a 6.5-inch BDS Suspension lift and then made sure everyone's eyes were turned toward the truck by installing a set of 22-inch American Force wheels. The 35-inch Toyo tires have held up extremely well to the long road trips.
In order to have somewhere to store things safely, Kelly installed an A.R.E. Z-Series truck cap. The Iron Cross Automotive front and rear bumpers protect the truck and occupants while a Warn winch stands ready to help out in a pinch. Rigid Industries LED lights make sure the truck is lit up at night.
The powerplant was boosted through the use of an Edge Products CTS tuner, an AEM cold-air intake, and Magnaflow's black dual exhaust. Inside the truck, occupants are treated to 3,000 watts of MTX Audio.
What's next? Freedom Fighter is the newest car being built, and the Chevy Silverado will just as ably transport it many thousands of miles. Want to learn more? Go to www.dedicatedtoallwhoserved.com
