12th Place
One of three friends from northern Kentucky that competed in the THROWDOWN, Chris Applegate showed that you don't need a high-dollar custom truck or special training to hit the track and have fun. Chris' '01 Silverado was relatively stock, with bolt-on power mods, a simple 2/4 drop, and factory 17-inch wheels and tires. He may not have taken any podiums, but by pushing his truck to the limit he earned respect from the competitors and the crowd. Stepping out of his truck after a run, you couldn't wipe the smile off Chris' face. Once he experienced this adrenaline rush, the racing bug had bitten, and he was eager to do it again. We can't blame him-once you've been to the track, driving on the street is never the same.
