If you're running a business that includes driving to and fro as part of the equation, you might want to think about turning your truck, or fleet of trucks, into rolling billboards to advertise your business. That's just what Rick and Kelly Spears did with their three trucks that tool around Ventura, California, as part of the Affordable Electricians crew.
And it works. People remember the trucks, they remember the name, they jot down the phone number (or take a photo with their phone for later reference), and they call.
Rick took his trucks to SoCal Signworx in Camarillo, California, where owner Jason Hardman helped come up with the design. Jason was the one who suggested the bold, green color and the animated "Sparky" cartoon character. "You want to stand out," Jason says.
Research has shown that in order for vehicle wrapping to be successful, it should be easy to understand, be very clear what the company is all about, have a limited amount of information, stand out as unique, and include a phone number or website. Jason made sure all of these rules applied to his fleet.
