Owner says: “I grew up around only Ford 4x4s, and the blood in my veins runs Ford blue. This is my first diesel, and while she may not have 500 hp like the newer trucks do, the 7.3L IDI has been super reliable. It is so easy to work on. There are no computers to fail, you don’t have to remove the cab to swap parts, and the parts it does need are cheap! She is a beast on and off the road.”

Owner says: “Every year, my family and my brother’s family go to the 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals and the East Coast Diesel Nationals. Rather than push around a stroller, we decided to build the kids a truck of their own. I bought a lawn cart to use for the frame and built the body out of 2x4s and plywood. It has 18x9-inch tires, dual 3-inch PVC angle-cut black stacks, and a lift pump made from two mini WD-40 cans. It’s a real head-turner and gets more attention than my truck. Our dad took us to see the trucks every year when we were kids; now with families of our own we do the same, continuing to pass down the love of trucks and diesel performance.”

And, since people will ask, the tubes hanging in front of the rear tires are sanders, for when the road gets slick.”
