2001 Ford F-250 Super Duty - Twisted
A Super Duty's Transition from Daily Driver to Showstopper
While some project trucks were destined for modifications from day one, others gradually morphed into projects over years of small tweaks. The latter scenario was the case for Trevor Selinger of Battle Creek, Michigan. His 2001 Ford F-250 Super Duty started out as a bone-stock daily driver, but after spending some time at the sand dunes and local truck shows, it gradually transformed into a full-scale show truck.
Modifications to the F-250 Super Duty began with an 8-inch BDS lift kit and Fox Racing shocks, as well as 20-inch Helo wheels and 37-inch Kumho mud tires. The kit was powdercoated red to match the truck's factory color, and silver graphics were laid out on the body's lower half. The truck's frontend was swapped for that of an '05 to '07 model, and a 20-inch LED lightbar was added to the lower grille. The Ford's engine bay and interior panels were painted red or black and hydro-dipped in a carbon-fiber pattern for additional show appeal. A powdercoated GTP38R turbo and other bolt-ons boost the 7.3L's power output, while Pioneer, MTX, and Rockford Fosgate audio gear pump out Trevor's favorite tunes.
Trevor's truck may have come a long way from its stock origins, but he's still got more in store. He plans to fully build the motor with reinforced internals, since, in his words, "It's the only part on the truck not yet modified."
Sharp silver tribal graphics contrast nicely with the truck's fire-truck-red factory paint, and its lifted stance adds aggression to the mix.
Painted and hydro-dipped gauge pods contain Auto Meter gauges, which help Trevor monitor his Power Stroke's vitals under load.
