A Silver Stunner Out of the Southwest

There is something about a standard cab mini-truck that just relates to the inner trucker in all of us. Whether you are into fullsize trucks or monster trucks, at one point in your life you probably owned a standard cab mini. Unfortunately, the days of the inexpensive mini-truck have come and gone. No longer can you get roll-up windows and a heater as your only options.
Luckily for us, there are people like Chris Simonson who take these standard cab trucks and turn them into masterpieces. Chris’ passion started early on in his high school years when he cruised around a few static-dropped trucks. After seeing one of his buddies rolling in a ’bagged Tacoma he was hooked and instantly went out and purchased his truck. With the help of some friends, they got it sitting down low and that is how it remained for two years until he could finally get it ’bagged. That was just the beginning; he soon body dropped the truck and got it ready for paint. Unfortunately, his dream came to a screeching halt when halfway through the job, the painter bailed on him. He was let down, but wasn’t ready to be counted out. He contacted Sean Wigman in Phoenix, who then got the job done and got it done right. Sean laid down the silver, and knocked it out of the park with the awesome graphics.

The Tacoma was modified in every way Chris imagined it would be, and he was finally rewarded with what he worked so hard to get. Chris looks at the roll-down 4Runner rear window as his favorite modification to the truck, and we agree. The window fits almost like it should have been there from the factory. The Tacoma is now a constant head-turner in his hometown of Tucson, Arizona, and at shows across the Southwest. He would like to thank his friends and family along with his truck club, Local Finesse. Without them, he would have never been able to complete his Tacoma.
