Jacob Chatagnier got into the custom truck scene way back in high school, while hanging out with his older brother Justin. A '04 Chevy Silverado single cab may have only had some aftermarket rims, HIDs, and a custom stereo system, but to Jacob it was amazing. Once he got his driver's license it was time for him to find something to drive. Little did Jacob know, but his brother had plans to surprise him with giving him his Silverado.

This is how it all began and nothing would hold Jacob back from customizing his truck. From the addition of one aftermarket part to another one, and even a custom paintjob, Jacob was on a mission to have to most custom truck in high school.
One day while Jacob was walking through the airport he came upon a Truckin magazine. He bought the issue and started to read it. Once he finished, it only fueled his obsession for an even more customized truck. As time went on, Jacob had caught wind of the newer Silverado and GMC trucks. From then on, he knew that one day he would have a late-model truck worthy of being in a magazine, and this dream went to his bucket list.

In 2010, Jacob took his single cab to the Scrapin' the Coast show. There he fully grasped the whole truck scene with the abundance of custom trucks in attendance. This was an awakening point for him because this is when he realized building a fully custom truck did not come cheap. Jacob ended up getting another job in order to afford the new body style truck and customize it.
When the news came out that '14 Chevy/GMC models had started showing up at the local dealerships, he took his first free moment to go scouting dealerships to look at trucks. Jacob had always been a Chevy guy, but once he got to physically check out the new GMC body style, it was clear to him that this was going to be his choice. Once he got back home, his plans were to sell off his single cab to order his new GMC. Jacob was so determined he would be getting his new project that he had the 4/6 McGaughy's drop kit delivered before even taking ownership of his new truck. Once he bolted up the kit, a set of 24-inch rims were installed. The idea was that this phase would hold him off long enough to 'bag it, but after going to the 2014 Lone Star Throwdown and not seeing a single bagged and body dropped '14 GMC, he decided on a new direction.

Once back home, Jacob started in on his research for a shop to 'bag and body drop his truck. Some friends of his who happened to be in Severed Ties suggested giving Jake McKiddie of Phat Phabrikationz a call. Once he heard that Jake built the first '14 Silverado to be body dropped in the world, he knew that this was the man to get the job done.
The original plans were setup for Jake to 'bag and body drop his GMC on the 24s, but after a few phone calls Jake had even better plans for Jacob's truck. The 2014 SEMA show was coming soon and Jake had secured a couple coveted Truckin-sponsored spots. Jake proposed his grand plan to build the truck for SEMA. Without a doubt Jacob said yes. This was just the tip of the iceberg, as Jake also lined up SEMA sponsors to help with his build since it was going to be the world's first bodied '14 GMC Sierra. After a short 35 days, Jacob had a beautiful show truck to be debut at SEMA.

Jacob was ecstatic that day when he picked up his truck from Jake's shop and getting the opportunity to drive it to SEMA put the icing on the cake. Without a hitch, they made the 5,000-mile trip to Vegas and the reality was starting to set in with Jacob. Now he was that guy living his dreams that started back from the day when he picked up his first issue of Truckin. If it hadn't been for the influence of Jacob's brother, Justin, starting him out in the custom truck scene, he would have never gotten to the place where he is today.
