Import & Truck Bash 2004 - ITB - Ohio - Custom Truck Show
You Know These Guys
Those of you living and passing through the Midwest know all about the Import & Truck Bash held in Indianapolis. After all, the show has been held for 10 years and just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Well, that show hits the road as well and has the backing of Special Events.
Special Events puts on many other types of car and truck shows around the country. With the large number of shows it does, Special Events kicks in a bunch of corporate swag. Eventually, a series of ITB shows will be held around the United States. The first road show was moved to a new location for 2004. The Falken, Ohio, ITB show was held at the Quaker City Raceway in Salem, Ohio, and even a nasty storm that felled trees and closed roads couldn't keep more than 600 rides from showing up and having a good time.
Like many shows, the mix of customs at the event included mostly imports and trucks, and both groups held their own with plenty of slick samples. For a little more fun, having a drag racing strip on the grounds made it really easy to test and torture your ride, depending on your mood. Apparently, plenty of people wanted to make passes, and a steady stream of cars and trucks in the dragstrip's staging lanes kept track officials busy.
For those wanting to test their vehicles in other ways, there was also a burnout competition and a hydraulic contest. We can see this show catching up to the one in Indianapolis in a few short years, if it continues to be as diverse and interesting as it has been. The second-year show at the new location did quite well, even if people had to dodge a few fallen trees to get there.
