Cruise to Showfest 2005
3,000 Miles To Graceland... Uh, We Mean Greenville
Tornadoes, hail the size of golf balls, and the best band of custom truck owners on the planet were the recipe for a raucous cruise from California to Mississippi. Greenville was the destination and Assorted's Showfest '05 was the goal of more than 50 drivers who burned rubber eastward from Cali. With gas prices at an all-time high, our friends at Mini Truckin' Magazine hit the road to record this 1,800-mile Cannonball across the country to test not only their trucks but their credit card limits as well.
Laccino Fabrication of Sylmar, California, has put together the cruise to Greenville, which for the past two years has brought participants through states such as Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma, dragging their way to one of the most popular shows of the year. KRZ Customs, Painter's Shack, Lowlife Video, No Regrets, Severed Ties, Forbidden Fantasy, Freaks of Nature, and many others went the distance, and by the time the cruise ended, we had picked up more than 50 new cruisers. This time around the cruise was dedicated to the memory of Matt Eye, an IF Customs employee who passed away before the first cruise was initiated.
