Danger Zone 2005 - Custom Truck Show

Chad LucasJan 1, 2006
California's Central Valley is typically thought of as home to wine grapes, almonds, and anything associated with agriculture. The value of all the agricultural produce grown in just one year is worth more than all the gold extracted statewide since all the mining hysteria began way back in 1848. When one thinks trucks in Central Valley, it's not usually associated with big chrome wheels, adjustable suspension, and the lack of all accessible mechanical entry points. That is, until now.
Presented by Dangerous Toys, Danger Zone '05 ravaged the startled crops and laid to rest all the stereotypes associated with the Central Valley. The event was held at Mooney's Grove Park in Visalia, California, and brought out 320 of the hottest rides in the area, as well as 1,200 gawking spectators. Even though it was a first-year show, nothing was left on the table, as Joe and the Dangerous Toys crew dragged their tails off to ensure that everything went smoothly.
Plenty of grass parking was available as was shade provided by one of the largest valley oak woodlands in California. This left for an outstanding laid-back atmosphere. Of all the clean rides in attendance, Steve from Sinners Nor Cal took home bragging rights with his new Best of Show trophy; it wasn't a mini, but hey, no one's perfect.
Dangerous Toys would like to thank all of its sponsors, including AVS, FabWorks, Grant Kustoms, The Hot Rod Shop, KRZ Customs, Kuts R Us, Layed Out Customs, Mac Springs, Maranda's Customs, Showoff Customs, Teo's Customs, Trujillo Electric, and Twisted Suspensions. Mooney's Grove Park will be in full effect next year as well, with the date already set at April 1. With the first-year jitters out of the way, one could only expect great things for the second time around. See you there. For more information, check out: www.dangerous-toys.org.
