Fast Facts:
The Grand National Roadster Show is one of the oldest-running indoor cars shows in the world. It's also one of the biggest events of the year, and for hot-rodding, it's where the big names come to compete. If you wanted to see some of the highest-quality vehicles in the nation, then this was the show to see them all together. On the style side of customs, there was the Suede Palace that paid homage to the Rat rod scene.
Special Events:
Showgoers could enjoy live performances by The Deadbeat Daddies, Surfing Safaris, and Vaquetones. Also, there were appearances by Barry White of TLC's Wrecks to Riches show, George Barris, My Classic Car host Dennis Gage, Charlie Hutton from Overhaulin', and movie stars Candy Clark and Bo Hopkins of American Graffiti fame. This year marked the 75th anniversary of the '32 Ford. The deuce coupe has spawned the hot-rodding scene, and Ford went out of its way to pick out the Top 75 most-significant '32 Fords in the nation. These vehicles were then brought out to the show and exhibited together under one roof. For General Motors, 2007 was the 50th anniversary of the '57 Chevy. A special section of the show was dedicated to the various Tri-Five Chevys.
