12-Volt Truckin - CES 2016
The newest, coolest and most sought-after tech
The Consumer Electronics Show is held at the beginning of each January in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is a showcase of the newest, coolest, and most sought-after tech innovations for the coming year. The 2016 CES was no exception. Truckin was there and will bring you all the offerings, from car audio manufacturers and many other in-vehicle mobile electronics for your ride. While actual trucks inside the show are few and far between, many of the products on display can immediately be installed into a late-model truck or adapted to fit any vehicle from the past century. Many of these new innovations will be adapted to the truck sector by aftermarket manufacturers and included in future trucks as dealership options.
Most of the major car audio companies, including Alpine, Kenwood, Kicker, MTX, Orion, Pioneer and Powerbass have booths or displays at the Las Vegas Convention Center. While others like Rockford Fosgate, CT Sounds, and JL Audio use off-site conference rooms or impressive hotel suites for a more intimate, focused setting to meet with their dealers and sales representatives and discuss the latest products. With a total of 2.4 million square feet of exhibits, mobile electronics were found all throughout the show.
CES is a trade-only event, which makes it unavailable to the public, but we can assure you it was still packed with show-goers and press from all over the world seeking the new it products for 2016. To find out more information about The Consumer Electronics Show, check out cesweb.org
