The Smoky Mountain Range runs along the North Carolina-Tennessee border. It is given the nickname “The Smokies” because of the natural fog that hangs over the range and appears to resemble smoke from a distance. Brandon and Christine Burrell decided it would be the perfect backdrop for the 5th Annual Scrapin’ the Smokies truck show. Located in Asheville, North Carolina, over 2,000 spectators arrived to see the finest trucks the Carolinas and Tennessee had to offer.

Packed full of games and events, Scrapin’ the Smokies provided enough entertainment for the whole family. As the sun began to set, the show staff divided the crowd, allowing a long stretch of the road to be the playground for the dragging contest. The crowd cheered on and eventually chose the winner.
With plenty of sun and enough fun to last the weekend, Scrapin’ the Smokies is a show you just shouldn’t miss.
