As my show season starts winding down, I'm guaranteed a few things; my home-related projects are all awaiting my full attention, hangovers won't come as often, and I get to end my show tour with the one and only Siknic. Yep, that off-the-chain show with the off-the-wall name.
Siknic never fails to live up to its name at being one Sick Picnic. Folks from all over the south make the annual trek to Gonzales, Louisiana, to part of one of the hottest, fastest-growing parties in Cajun country. It's hard to resist any event that offers on-site camping, indoor parking, great after-parties, and tons of food and merchandise vendors as well as one of the best event locations in the scene. Siknic doesn't have much choice but to be this awesome really. The show is put on by Greg Miller and B.J. Mills who, in case you didn't know, are the beautiful minds behind other great shows like Scrapin' the Coast and Pandemonium. These guys don't let four months go by without throwing a show into your face from somewhere in the south.
Be sure you start making plans now for next year's event because Siknic shows no signs of slowing down. Bring your ride, bring your camper, bring whatever you want, just be sure to bring your ugly mug to Louisiana.
