SEMA Scene 2013
A small slice of what was cool at the SEMA show
The annual SEMA show is a trade-only event put on by the Specialty Equipment Market Association. It is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. It draws the industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to one place: the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition, the SEMA show provides attendees with educational seminars, product demonstrations, special events, networking opportunities, and more.
Somewhere around 60,000 domestic and international buyers attend, and a slew of media, too. The displays are segmented into 12 sections, and a new products showcase featured about 2,000 newly introduced parts, tools, and components.
At the show, many manufacturers have a car or truck in their booth to show off the company’s products, and the trucks are usually amazingly beautiful. Outside, a large collection of cars and trucks fills the parking lot with even more outstanding vehicles.
We attend every year—since you can’t—and pour over thousands of photos to decide which ones will best illustrate what went on the week of the SEMA show. Here they are!
