The 22nd Lake Front Tour Car Show, presented by Roger Miller and Midnight Fantasies, was moved to September for cooler weather and a better time during the show season. The only problem is that rain is a September concern in the Louisiana area. It poured off and on during the day, but the forecast of 100-percent chance of severe thunderstorms was the main culprit. But the show, as they say, must go on.
Pascal Barone IV won Best of Show with his over-the-top Ford Ranger, and the best mini award went to Ronnie “Speedy” Baudoin with his own take on Ford’s small pickup. Next year, the show is relocating to the Burton Coliseum for more room to grow since all the hotels in the area were sold out as of Friday the day before the show. It seems the rain was the culprit, which made many decide not to come. So, make sure to come out next year and support a staple of the south car and truck show scene.
