When the beginning of the year comes around, one show is on everyone's mind; Lone Star Throwdown (LST). As the saying goes in Texas, "Everything is BIG in Texas" the same motto goes for this show. Even the location for the show is BIG, because the Lone Star Expo Center on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds proved again that it can handle the over 1,900 cars and trucks that showed up this year. Even with the forecast leading up to the show stating a 90% chance of thunderstorms, the amount of diehard car enthusiasts still drove in from all over the United States. To accommodate everyone in attendance, vendors provided amazing service with cold drinks and scrumptious Texas food.

The show has also proven to be a perfect spot for many of the car and truck clubs to meet for reunions. This year has shown us once again that the custom car scene is still in full effect. Even with the show coming to a close, the term to describe the time before the show is "LST Crunch", and has already begun for the 2016 show.
If you have never gotten the chance to attend this show, make sure you plan well ahead as the local Conroe hotels fill up months in advance. The good thing is that the show promoters Lonnie Ford and Todd Hendrex have provided ample amounts of show information on their website at www.lonestarthrowdown.com.
