2014 SEMA Show - The HD Truck Hub
Custom 8-Lug Trucks
The annual SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show is held at the Las Vegas Convention Center during the first week of November and stands as the do-not-miss aftermarket automotive trade show. Year after year, the show brings to the automotive businessman and enthusiast a smorgasbord of parts, new products, display vehicles, and innovative ideas to satisfy any and all preferences. Even though it’s a trade show that’s technically closed to the public, there is no shortage of entertainment and worldwide media coverage.
For 8-Lug HD Truck magazine, this show is like hitting the jackpot. Whereas some events showcase a heavy-duty truck here and there, SEMA seems to be the Mecca of these behemoths. The halls and outdoor areas are traditionally covered with GM, Ford, and Ram HD diesel and gasoline trucks, and this year did not disappoint. With their ability to display tons of product while grabbing gobs of attention by literally towering over cars, maybe these trucks just happen to be perfectly suited for such a massive event where the goal is to get as many eyes as possible on your business or product. It’s simple—people like trucks and the enormity of their existence, as confirmed by their presence at SEMA.
