With just under a decade of practice, the Relaxing in SoCal show keeps getting bigger every year. Located on the grounds of Alpine Electronics and hosted by local custom club Relaxed Atmosphere, this popular show attracted thousands of attendees that feasted their eyes on hundreds of custom trucks, cars and a few motorcycles. The event is open to the public with an emphasis on family, as was evident by the many strollers and kids of all ages being brought up to appreciate all the hard work that makes these customs so special to their owners. Entertainment was to be found all throughout the show as the Hot Rod Trio belted out some high octane Rockabilly sounds from the main stage, there was a raffle to raise money for the Long Beach Ronald McDonald House and local celebrities like radio station stalwart Lightning from KROQ, and Jason “Wee Man” Acuna cruised the crowd. The Truckin crew was on hand to capture all the best of what this show had to offer and was amazed at how much the show had grown over the years. Cooks Tire and Tune was the main sponsor this year, and their presence was well represented with a large booth and banners that waved in the gentle breeze of another glorious Sunday in SoCal.
