In the world of dirt sports, there really is no bigger gathering than that of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo at the Fairplex in Pomona, California. It’s a full weekend filled with some of the baddest racers from every class imaginable on display next to the companies that were involved in building them. The freewheeling spirit that drives a person to build their truck into a high-flying, dirt-spitting monster is supported at the Expo with all the suspension components, beefed-up bumpers, multi-pointed harness seats, and everything else needed to go from on-road to off. All the biggest names in the industry were there, displaying the latest and greatest parts and many of them had transformed trucks on display in their booth to give the crowds something to drool over. Ivan “Iron Man” Stewart was even on hand to tell stories from his many years of domination in multiple off-road disciplines. The crowd was treated to many off-road exhibitions like the Jeep Rubicon ride-along that gave passengers a feel of trail riding over varied terrain and the multitude of mini off-roaders and souped-up side-by-sides that were flying high over jumps and pelting everyone in attendance with dirt clods. This yearly show is worth the trip to the Fairplex and should be on everyone’s calendar. For more information, go to www.offroadexpo.com.
