Coming together over Labor Day Weekend is a time honored tradition to take a break from everyday work and celebrate friends and family. This is precisely what the club Relaxed Atmosphere set out to do nearly a decade ago with the All-Star Event held in Millington, Tennessee. The goal was to offer a family friendly, fun atmosphere for all and showcase some of the hottest trucks from around the country while raising money for charity. This year, looking to kick things into a higher gear, the 3-day show included a camping option as well as a Memphis Barbecue Network sanctioned BBQ cook-off contest. After all, it is just outside of Memphis. A concert featuring the School Of Rock with young teenagers rocking out classic hits as well as Twin Souls, a local rock cover band who performed during the Saturday night afterparty that also featured hot air balloon rides. While primarily a truck event, the show also offered hot rods, muscle cars, bikes and classic cars. The event is held to help raise money and awareness for charity. This year, proceeds benefitted nearby St. Jude's Children's Hospital. To further benefit the local hospital, an auction was held and club games were put on to keep things interesting. At the end of the show, one of the unique aspects of the All Star Event is that all of the Best of Show vehicles are parked along the baseline inside of the USA Olympic Baseball Stadium during the award ceremony for all to see. Several custom awards were handed out as well in categories such as Best Interior and Club Participation as well as Relaxed Atmosphere Choice picks. There were Top 75 awards, but with over 400 quality vehicles in the show, it was tough narrowing down the field and we heard they gave out a few extra.
