Warm Weather, Cool Trucks at the Northern Showdown
For the third straight year, Northern Showdown in Milton, Ontario, Canada, has put itself on the radar as one of the shows to attend. Popularity has grown so much for this show in the North that promoters William Salazar and Tony Todaro had to relocate the event to Country Heritage Park. It’s an even larger show grounds than in previous years to accommodate the growing number of vehicles on display. That move proved to be smart, as the show hit record numbers of participants and spectators.
Celebrity guest Dan Woods from the Chop Cut Rebuild television show was signing autographs, having his picture taken with fans, and even fabricated a custom trophy, which was awarded to Salazar for his success throughout the years of bringing custom-truck builders together. Other events throughout the day were a root-beer chug contest, a Lego assembly contest for the kids, and a truck limbo for the adults.
The proceeds from Northern Showdown were donated to Children’s Wish of Canada and Salazar presented the check to the organization. The promoters wished to thank their hard-working staff for all their help and guidance throughout the show. Salazar personally wanted to thank all the sponsors, vendors, show attendees, spectators, family, and friends who came together to make Northern Showdown the success it is today.
