Nitto Auto Enthusiast Day 2017
The large and expansive stadium parking lot of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, in Anaheim, California, was once again the setting for the Nitto Auto Enthusiast Day on August 12, bringing out all kinds of cars, trucks, and spectators to this free event. The day was filled with activities, including a drifting exhibition, an off-road exhibition, and an autograph session with the drivers. Nitto was smart to have the show in a setting as big as this one. Using the parking area of a major sport’s stadium left plenty of room for spectators to park and stage themselves in the various groups and vehicle clubs who were there. But it also afforded the aforementioned drift and off-road exhibitions plenty of room to rip around (on fresh Nitto tires), impressing the crowd with big air and lots of tire smoke.
Show attendees were also treated to a large display area that gave vendors plenty of space to spread out and interact with the public. Plus, larger companies had a chance to bring in their vehicles and let everyone check out the various trucks, off-road vehicles, and cars—outfitted with Nitto products and the latest in aftermarket upgrades. The weather this year was not a deterrent as it has been during previous years, and the crowd was upbeat as vehicle club members, hardcore off-roaders, JDM drifters, and regular folk intermingled and had a good time. It helped that the Porta-Potties were plentiful and the music blasted the whole time.
This free, one-day show is enjoyable fun for the whole family, featuring lots of entertainment for the enthusiast and those with casual interest in all four-wheeled piston-powered toys. For more information go to autoenthusiastday.com.
