Yokohama ’17 Ram 2500 Giveaway
Getting Trucked Up
Today, Yokohama Tire Corporation culminated a yearlong promotion with the giveaway of a customized ’17 Ram 2500 Power Wagon 4x4 featuring the new Geolandar M/T G003 mud-terrain tires to the overwhelmed but overjoyed winner, Becca Panelley of Orem, Utah.
The truck was given to Panelly at Yokohama headquarters in Southern California by none other than action sports superstar Travis Pastrana after the truck made the nationwide rounds with Pastrana and his crew across 20 stops for the Nitro Circus tour. The key handoff from Pastrana to Panelley could not have been a prouder moment for the action sports enthusiast, who got to shake hands with her hero and self-proclaimed celebrity crush.
Panelley and her husband, Jeff, made the trek to Yokohama headquarters after dropping an entry (as we all have done in the past looking to win that grand prize) into the Nitro Circus World Games when it made a stop in Salt Lake City, Utah. Turns out, their passion for off-roading and a stop at the World Games paid off big time when they got the call that they won and would be flying out to receive their brand-new truck.
The truck was customized by AEV and includes a 3-inch dual-sport SC lifted suspension, an Andersen hitch, a premium front off-road bumper, 17x8.5 Salta HD wheels, and differential covers for the front and rear. The custom livery wrap was designed by Jon Sibal, and the truck rides on 37x12.50 R17 Geolandar M/T G003 tires. The giveaway was the grand prize of The Get Trucked Up Giveaway and was held in conjunction with Yokohama marketing partner Nitro Circus—the world’s leading action sports and entertainment brand. The winner was announced by Pastrana, along with FMX rider Blake “Bilko” Williams and BMX rider James Foster several days before the actual handoff, via Facebook Live.
Panelley was visibly shaking with excitement as her whirlwind tour of the Yokohama HQ ended with her standing next to her new truck, already making plans with her husband to take it out to the local 4x4 trails in their hometown and to generally be the coolest people around for quite a while. “I am so beyond excited!” Panelley said. “I can’t even express my feelings into words. The truck is beautiful, and I can’t wait to officially call it mine. Thank you so much, Yokohama.” Both Panelley and husband Jeff then loaded themselves into their new ’17 Ram 2500 Power Wagon 4x4 and rode off into the sunset.
