Forbidden Fantasy Show N Shine 2018 Presented by Viair
A River Run to Remember
Forbidden Fantasy Show N Shine 2018, presented by Viair, rolled in to the Avi Resort and Casino, and it was one for the record books. Those that know this show know that the registration numbers are capped in accordance with rules set up by the hotel, but that just means that the show organizers can be more selective about who gets in. That sense of limitation puts enormous pressure on builders to bring out the best and most innovative builds possible. The display area at the Avi is only so big, and once the spots get filled up—that’s it—the primo display area is filled and you are outta luck. Set on a secluded part of the Colorado River in Laughlin, Nevada, the location itself offers a large amount of activities including a full casino floor, a large expansive pool area, a movie theater, and even a kid’s zone that offers activities and day care.
This show has slowly built itself by being not only a great place to display your brand-new custom truck (there were a few debuts and a few SEMA customs), but also a destination for truck clubs to meet in a somewhat centralized location to show camaraderie for each other, the scene, and to see what kind of competition the rest of the country has brought. What sets this show apart from others is that it has become a great excuse to gather with fellow custom truck enthusiasts from across this great nation of ours and have a safe place to celebrate another year gone by.
Big-ups go out to the 2018 sponsors including the title sponsor Viair, as well as 360 Products, Sparkles Detail, Auto Revolution, Hammered Weekend Wear, C10 Vatos, Grindertv, Kustom Life, Level Ride Suspension, Switch Suspension, Slam’d Mag, Krookid Photography, event shirts from by FUEL MRKT, and tunes were spinning all weekend by longtime show and event music providers, Roulette’s Madhouse FX.
Plans are already being made for the 2019 event, and we suggest you keep an eye out on the announcements. The Avi Casino and Resort hotel was totally booked, with every available room reserved in less than a day. All the pre-registration spots were filled in similar fashion. So if you want a room or a pre-reg, you have to be diligent on announcement day. For more information, go to https://www.facebook.com/events/1323368311094406/.
