Texas Hold ‘Em 2019
Already a Hit
The term resilience comes to mind when you describe the truck enthusiasts in the state of Texas. For the second straight week and weekend, Houston and the surrounding areas were hammered by grey clouds, strong winds and rain. Instead of staying home and escaping the inclement weather, hundreds of custom trucks arrived in droves to Texas Hold ‘Em, held at the Pasadena Fairgrounds in Pasadena, Texas. In fact, there were over 800 vehicles registered for the two-day show that included a Beer Chug contest, a car and truck burnout competition, a bikini contest, live music throughout the day and performances by local musicians like Slim Thugg.
With numbers of over 5,000 spectators walking through the gates, Texas Hold ‘Em has emerged as one of the largest shows in Texas in only their second year. American Force Wheels was the main sponsor taking up the entire indoor arena with their lifted trucks and new wheels. Show promoter, Jose Rubio, wishes to thank his club Team Billet and everyone that came out to make Texas Hold Em a huge success in its sophomore year. The 2020 dates are already set for March 13-15 and will have even more indoor parking for full displayed vehicles to set up.
Texas Hold Em elevated the game in Pasadena by crushing their attendance records from their first year by double. This is truly a show for all types, you’ll see lowriders, slingshots, donks, cars, jeeps and all types of trucks. If you want to enjoy a true weekend for the family, make sure you add Texas Hold ‘Em to your list. Special thanks goes to Karlos Cruz, Joey Coomer, Luis Villareal and Fabian Villareal for all their help and support.
