Dropt ‘N Destroyed 2019- 16 Years Strong & a New Venue

16 Years Strong

Phil Gordon
Jul 10, 2019

For the past 16 years, Dropt-N-Destroyed has etched its way into truck history in Ohio. Until this year, the event was held at the world-famous Shawshank Redemption prison, known as the Mansfield Reformatory. Show promoter Aaron Combs decided to relocate to the Portage County Regional Airport just outside of Cleveland, Ohio, for more room. The spacious airport was home to more than 300 show vehicles throughout the grounds, with ample room for trailers and spectator vehicles.

Dropt-N-Destroyed 2016 offered plenty of fun activities, with the dual limbo contest keeping everyone's attention and bringing cars and trucks to their lowest. The major sponsors were Bibey's Customs, Drop 'Em Wear, All Time Low magazine, Thorbros, Self Made Mayhem, RAT Designs, Bures Kustom Motorsports, Street Steel, Outlaw Pinstriping, Profound Design, Keesey family, Mini Truckers Union, Down 2 Earth, Drivn, and many others. Quaker Steak N Lube kept everyone well fed during the two-day show, and Jerry from Lay'N Licks was on hand for all the custom vehicles' pinstripe needs.

Aaron and his staff wish to thank everyone who attended Dropt-N-Destroyed, especially with the new location change. For those who have attended 1 year, 4 years, or even all 16 years of Dropt, your support and dedication is what makes the truck scene continue to prosper. "Throughout the 16 years for Dropt-N-Destroyed, I have been able to create some of the best friendships," Aaron tells Truckin. "My staff and club plan on making the 17th annual show even better."
