Toyota Featuring SUVs and Trucks in Chicago Auto Show Ride Experience
SUVs and trucks remain the most popular vehicles in Toyota's lineup, and at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show, consumers will have a chance to drive many of them.
The "Toyota Drive Center" event at the Chicago show will be held in a 50,000-square-foot space in McCormick Center's South Hall. It's not a ride-and-drive, though: this is a ride-along program only. That's because the course has professional drivers to navigate mounds of dirt, logs, and gravel.
The 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and even the Highlander will be featured vehicles. The functionality of Toyota's back-up camera will also be demonstrated, as well. The show runs from February 11 through February 20.
"Even though we're indoors, visitors will definitely experience the outdoor ride and capability of our vehicles in a number of simulated scenarios. With professional drivers at the helm, consumers will be amazed at what these trucks and SUVs can do in tough, challenging situations," said Ruslan Polinovsky, Auto Show Engagement Manager at Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.
