Diesel Power: What changes are you making to the truck in order to prepare for the event?
Dustin West: “An upgraded fuel system, upgraded turbo(s), larger injectors, and progressive nitrous oxide.”

DP: What was your reaction when you got the call to compete?
DW: “Well first off, I was under the truck working on my exhaust, covered in black soot, and got a call and almost didn't answer because I figured it was another one of those annoying salesmen. But I answered, and to my surprise it was David Kennedy. He asked if I would like to be part of this years’ DPC. My reply if I remember right was HELL YEAH! Funny story, I didn't even put in a form to compete because with my luck I never win any contests, raffles, etc. My buddy, Toby Cashion, put in the form. I guess this year my luck changed. I have always wanted to participate in the DPC ever since it started. Needless to say, I smiled from ear to ear all night.”

DP: What tires do you plan to use?
DW: “Nitto Mud Grapplers 33x12.50 on 18-inch wheels.”

DP: What is your strategy going to be for each event? What’s the game plan?
DW: “DONT BREAK! Push the truck as much as I know it can handle and cross my fingers. With all the trucks that will be there they are no different…parts will break, always do. I’ll give it my all and hope that the billet Goerend can handle the power.”

DP: What spare parts are you bringing?
DW: “We will bring a spare transmission, injectors, and injector lines. Of course, all obvious parts: boost boots, hoses, clamps, gaskets, oil, and fluids.”

DP: Who are your crewmembers?
DW: “Brandon Russell, Toby Cashion, and Jay Fuller”
