Diesel Power: What changes are you making to the truck in order to prepare for the event?
Scott Lindsey: “We are really trying to fine tune our current setup with injectors and waste-gate adjustments.”

DP: What was your reaction when you got the call to compete?
SL: “I have never been more excited in my life. It is truly a dream come true.”

DP: What tires do you plan to use?
SL: “I will run an all-terrain tire, either the current Nitto Dune Grappler, or possibly the Nitto Terra Grappler.”

DP: What is your strategy going to be for each event? What’s the game plan?
SL: “Being that I have dreamed of this since I picked up the first Diesel Power Magazine covering the DPC, I think my biggest issue will be to remain calm and just do what I love doing—and that’s put the pedal to the floor.”

DP: What spare parts are you bringing?
SL: “We will have everything we can possibly think of from a transmission to head gaskets.”

DP: Who are your crewmembers?
SL: “My father, my fiancé (when she gets out of school on the 4th,) and my mechanic.”

DP: Any other thoughts?
SL: “I can’t wait until I calm down and can actually sleep again. I'm still extremely nervous about this event.”
