Fans of Diesel Power Challenge will recognize Lavon Miller’s ’04½ Dodge Ram 3500 as the vehicle that helped him win the 2014 competition. Invited back to defend his crown, Lavon showed up with a gleaming, deck-plated 6.7L Cummins beneath the truck’s mirror-equipped hood, with a massive cylinder head that uses studs an inch longer than the stock bolts.
The engine, appropriately labeled Enforcer, is force-fed air by a 74mm billet BorgWarner S366 turbocharger over a 96mm billet S484 turbo and receives fuel from 275-percent-over injectors and dual 12mm and 10mm stroker CP3 pumps supplied by dual AirDog II 4G lift pumps.

The Enforcer is backed by a Firepunk Diesel Competition Stage 3 automatic transmission that uses billet parts to send power to a front axle housing that’s loaded with a Detroit Truetrac differential, and a stock limited-slip in the rear end that stays planted to the track via Firepunk Diesel traction bars.
The truck also features a detachable roll bar inside the cabin because, Lavon says, “I built this truck with the idea of making as much horsepower as possible without sacrificing my ability to use it as my daily driver and tow truck when needed. We made the rollcage removable so I can go racing on Friday, unbolt it, and then take the family to church on Sunday.”
