For competitors to arrive at their destination in Denver, Colorado, for the Diesel Power Challenge (DPC) from all over the continent, it takes more than just a good, competitive truck—it requires support. The support of diesel-powered trucks. These are the pickups that tow the trailers and haul all the parts, tools, and supplies needed for a week of competition.
The DPC contestants’ enthusiasm for diesel power goes beyond their competing trucks. Their desire to make things bigger, faster, and stronger is reflected in their support vehicles as well. These rides have had many of the same types of modifications done as their competition counterparts. Many could put down good numbers if used to compete.

These hardworking trucks don’t normally get any recognition. So we went around and photographed them in the parking lot of the hotel so they could get their due.
