GALLERY: 2015 Detroit Autorama--the First With Exclusive Shots of Over 100 Cars
We've Got a Huge Gallery Of Move-In Night
HOT ROD has the first with the most galleries of over 100 of just some of the highlights of the 2015 53rd annual Detroit Autorama. As always, situated inside the warm confines of Cobo Hall, the Autorama is considered one of the two most prestigious inside car shows in the country, the other being the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona. With Detroit’s more central location, it’s been the go-to show with participation from all across the country, and you can depend on seeing the full gamut of showcars, from nicely restored stockers to overwrought car show geekness where there are no limits to taste and imagination.
The other great thing about the Autorama is that for the last few years the basement has been the place for rough rods and old timey cool custom cars making it a trip back in time to the days of flathead Fords and Chrysler Hemis—the early ones, not the later gen-II Hemis. Those are usually reserved for the main show.
