At this point, the staying at home is starting to get to us all. It's certainly affecting the way people drive. Being on the freeway lately is like being in a video game. But that didn't stop over 200 trucks and custom vehicles from converging on the old Sears parking lot across the street from Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California.
The idea came from Tom McWeeney, owner of Kustoms Inc. and painter extraordinaire. Although a few other cruises have happened in SoCal, none were quite what Tom was looking for. Some are already giant, and others were way too far away. He only had a few rules to govern how his meet-up would be: "No raffles, no vendors, no DJ, no trophies, no burnouts, and no asshats!" He just wanted to provide an opportunity to get together and check out some cool rides.
There was a large turnout from the C10 crowd, as well as from clubs Relaxed Atmosphere and Fleetwood. There were a bunch of late-model trucks and imports, too. All in all, it was a good way to get out of the house for a few hours and put some miles on the truck.
