Cruise To The Pines 2016

Party In Prescott

Cruise to the Pines is not your average truck show. The location and the level of custom trucks it draws sets it apart from other shows and the host club, Perfect Poise, has taken the roll-in part of a truck show to a whole new level. Normally entrants would be waiting in line for an hour or so in a parking lot just to gain entrance into the actual show grounds. Cruise organizes the participants to actually meet up around 7am in a parking lot in Phoenix, AZ and then slowly make the hour and a half drive up the mountains to the town of Prescott where temperatures dip 10-20 degrees cooler than the valley below.
Upon arriving at the show grounds in Prescott, trucks are parked among some of the Southwest’s finest rides. Those that were smart enough to pre-register for the event were treated to a free event shirt and a lunch ticket. That ticket was good for a full-blown barbeque lunch provided by Select Glass. There is plenty of shade and a Sonic Drive-In to keep your thirst well-quenched throughout the day. Vendors such as Pretty Low, GrinderTV, Switch Suspension, and Universal Technical Institute (U.T.I) line the perimeter of the show field to offer up the latest in gear and truck goodies.

Another unique aspect about the Cruise is the trophies. More than 30 custom skateboard decks designed by some of the country’s top shops are lined up and ready to be handed out at the day’s end. Along with the Best Of trophies, they have a top 25 and one of the largest raffles that came from a show this size. Perfect Poise knows how to host one hell of an event and it shows as Cruise to the Pines grows in numbers and quality each year. If you have never been you need to mark this on your calendars for next year.
