Sunset Cruise Night
Thriving in SoCal
Sunset is one of the oldest and most respected custom truck clubs on the in the country. Founded back in ’76 by Mini Truck Hall of Fame member Bob Hase, this club has chapters all over the country and has spread internationally. The spirit of the California mini truck scene is kept alive by monthly events such as this one held at Titan Burgers in Chino, California. Carlos “Los” Banuelos is the current President of the local (well, local to us) Sunset Inland Empire chapter and got in touch with Truckin to promote their cruise night and we were more than happy to do coverage. Every club that is enthusiastic about anything and has regular meets like this one to join in solidarity, share a few adult beverages, tell stories, and make new memories.
Sunset is part of a network of truck clubs that have regular meets over the course of a month and take over the parking lots of local burger places in the Inland Empire. All the meets take place in and around the Inland Empire and have a steady stable of attendees that are not only members of their clubs, but representatives of the mini scene as a whole. These clubs are what the scene is built on, and do their part in helping to keep it thriving. The cruise nights are open to anyone and free to attend, so if seeing a bunch of well-built trucks and making some new friends is up your alley, make a plan to head on out one Saturday to a club cruise night.
