Cook’s Tire & Tune is a local shop here in So Cal that the Truckin staff has used several times for our installation articles. The company recently hosted a traveling custom car and truck show with an art raffle thrown in, called the Get Together After Dark. Cook’s started in Fullerton, California, and recently expanded to a larger facility in nearby Orange, which has a sizeable parking lot where the show was hosted. Custom trucks were led in and parked in front of Cook’s with plenty of street visibility that caused a few passing drivers to slow down and check out all the coolness that was laid out on the asphalt. Mad House FX was on hand to provide tunes and keep the show goers bouncing late into the night, tacos were provided by Cook’s to keep the hungry masses fed, and Customs, Inc., provided not only the custom-painted trophies but was raffling artwork off to benefit the Optimist Youth Program, which helps at-risk youth through education and stable living environments. All in all, this was a fun show to attend and was basically a gathering of friends and like-minded folks who appreciate custom vehicles. Cook’s Tire & Tune can be found at www.facebook.com/CooksII for all of your repair and tire needs. To find out about the next Get Together After Dark, go to www.facebook.com/events/1786640751605805.
