GatorDrag 2016 - Draggin’ in the Crawfish State
Every state has a reputation. For Louisiana, that reputation is seafood and jazz music. Regardless of any city in the large state of Louisiana, those things are accentuated. Brandon Leblanc decided to organize a custom truck show many years ago. Originally, this custom truck show began in Texas, but when Brandon moved to Lafayette, he found a perfect location to continue holding his show, the Frog Festival Grounds in Rayne, Louisiana. The show, named GatorDrag, is now in its 11th year and still holding strong. Throughout the show, tables of crawfish were set up with groups of people enjoying it. In the background, a live DJ played endless rock with jazz mixed in that gave the show a feel of authenticity. Over 400 custom vehicles lined the Festival grounds, and while poor weather threatened to close down the show, it luckily never came to fruition.
Brandon wishes to thank his loyal volunteers who helped make the show a success, as well as his wife Adrienne for all her help. The vendors in attendance were KIK Clothing; Minitruckerstore.com, Lemco Ironworks, Firehouse Concessions; Eggrollin Hut, Lil’ Debbies, Big Squeeze Lemonade, Karebears Wagon, Raising Cane, and Inflatable Time.
