SEMA 2014: Getting Hitched to Cool Bumper Accessories
The big, the bad, and the beautiful bumper accessories from SEMA
It’s tempting to make bunch of puns about getting hitched in Las Vegas, especially since you can get married in a Sin City drive-through while standing in the bed of a pickup truck. Don’t believe us? Just ask our art director, Mark Snyder. No, he didn’t elope in the Nevada desert, but one of his buddies married his beautiful bride while in the back of a diesel truck -- we even published a photo of their nuptials in our news department about 10 years ago. Unfortunately, during our time in Vegas, we didn’t witness any weddings performed by an Elvis impersonator, although, one night, we did see a woman having a blast while posing for about 40 selfies with a bronze statue of The King.
Enough kidding around. At SEMA 2014 we saw lots of impressive hitches on the diesel project trucks on display. We found everything from super heavy-duty tow hooks to comically large trailer balls -- and even mustaches. What!? That’s right, one vendor had a line of mustache-shaped trailer hitch covers we think may become a real hit with folks who like to have fun while customizing their trucks. Check out our gallery of 2014 SEMA Show trailer hitch photos, and send us pictures of any wild diesel hitches you see via Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter using #dieselpower, or you can email them to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
