SEMA and AAPEX 2014 Kickoff
The World's Largest Automotive Aftermarket Show
It has begun! The largest automotive aftermarket show in the world has begun! Every year people wait with bated breath for information, news, and photos from the AAPEX Show (HA! Bet you thought I was talking about SEMA for a minute). The Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (or AAPEX for short) is the unsung sidekick to the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.
Held just down the street from the Las Vegas Convention Center at the Sands Expo, AAPEX is focused on the automotive retail, OEM, and OEM replacement parts business. It is more business oriented and less about customization. It truly is a fascinating show. However, without all of the eye candy of SEMA, if you’re not there to do business and not a diehard gearhead there’s really not a ton to look at. But if you have half a day to kill while attending SEMA, it’s certainly worth a visit.
We spent that last few hours of the day getting the lay-of-the-land at the SEMA Show. At first glance, this year appears to be the largest in recent history, which is fantastic! There are tons of great custom trucks to look at, loads of 2015 Ford F-150s, lots of 2015 Chevy Silverados (both 1500 and 2500), some beautiful Ram trucks, and many more!
