Calm Before the Storm
The entire team behind the Truck Trend Network have hit the ground running at SEMA 2017 like we always do to give the most in depth coverage. We have arrived and are already walking the unforgiving concrete floors to show what it takes to bring to life a show of this magnitude.
The Las Vegas Convention Center was literally buzzing with activity as the show draws ever near to opening. And even with forklifts whizzing by, an endless barrage of cordless power tools, and the ever escalating chatter, it is nothing to the actual noise of the estimated 100,000 daily attendants of the show. During the official days of the SEMA show, every available booth space is occupied at the LVCC with all the latest that the aftermarket has to offer and the indoor halls, outdoor display areas, and even all of the parking lots get used.
But at this point in the set-up stage, every conceivable inch is covered in boxes containing products to be put on display, wood crates holding the jigsaw pieces that are used to construct the booth itself, and display vehicles are still being staged on top of plastic-wrapped carpets. Construction workers were operating every piece of equipment in their arsenal to build the polished and perfect show that is used to being seen. An understatement for sure, but a lot goes into building a show of this size and here is a sneak peek.
We here at the Truck Trend Network know what it’s like to walk these halls when the show is in full swing, and we will bring you daily coverage, but for now we are truly appreciating all the effort it takes to construct this massive show. Enjoy these behind the scene photos, and keep your browsers pinned to TruckTrend.com for more coverage each and every day.
