Forged Performance

Mahle Motorsports has developed new forged pistons for high-output 6.7L Cummins engines. The pistons are made using Mahle’s proprietary M142 alloy forgings and then machined with specific profile and ovality geometries, profiled pin bores, and radius’d valve pockets. A Grafal skirt coating is used to reduce drag and wear along with hard-anodized top ring grooves.

Better Wastegate Control

NGR Performance’s V3 Wastegate is the first of its type to have three springs in one unit. The use of three springs allows for improved fine-tuning. Each spring activates as adjustments are being made, giving full control of the wastegate. The V3 is available in 38mm and 50mm sizes.

Performance Converter

To get improved holding capacity without sacrificing the stock shift action of an automatic transmission, Sonnax developed the BorgWarner/Chrysler A618, 47RH/RE, 48RE (310mm) Multi-Plate Performance Converter Kit designed to work with the Sonnax 35-spline big input shaft for ease of assembly. Quality components provide unmatched performance and durability on the road and track. A damperless version for extreme racing applications is also available.

Better Boost

Precision Turbo & Engine’s GEN2 Pro Mod 110 Turbocharger can support more than 2,650 hp. It is able to support those type of figures by using such features as a GEN2 110mm CEA (competition engineered aerodynamics) compressor wheel, a 108mm CEA turbine wheel, and air-cooled dual-ceramic ball bearings. The turbine housing is designed to use stainless steel V-bands on the inlet and outlet.

More Fuel

Big horsepower needs large quantities of fuel—that’s why Aeromotive developed the 5.0-gpm Brushless Fuel Pump. With an amazing 5.0 gpm capacity, the pump has raised the bar for electric pumps and captivated the performance world. The pump is available in three configurations: round body (clamps included), signature body (integral mounting tabs), and as an in-tank (fuel cell) module. There are three fuel cells (6-, 15-, and 20-gallon) available with the fuel pump, and they are already mounted and ready to go.

Boost Cooler

ETL Performance Products has made available a performance intercooler kit for all ’13-and-newer Ram trucks with 6.7L Cummins engines. The kit is designed to improve airflow, decrease charge air temperature, and reduce EGT at any power level. A key feature of the kit is the 3-inch aluminum mandrel-bent intercooler piping that has been engineered with less restrictive bends for maximum airflow. The intercooler is a bar-and-plate design with durable cast-aluminum end tanks. The kit also includes silicone boots and constant-tension T-bolt clamps

Big Rods

Pushrods are an integral part of a Cummins engine. If they fail, so does the engine. That’s why Manton Pushrods developed ½-inch-diameter chromoly “drop-in” pushrods with .120- and .188-wall thickness for 5.9L and 6.7L Cummins from ’98½-to-present. The rods are rated for 2,000 hp and are a good addition to a daily driver.

Adapting Diesel

Fitting a diesel engine into short-wheelbase rigs like Jeeps, Scouts, Toyotas, and Broncos can be a daunting task. Quickdraw Brands designed its SAE 3 to NV4500 bellhousing adapter kit to make it easier. The kit’s unique aluminum bellhousing’s short profile provides the extra room needed to install an oil-burner in engine bays normally too tight for fitment. Any compression-ignition power unit with an SAE 3 bellhousing pattern can be mated to an NV4500 manual transmission with the housing.

Clamping Force

Hays’ Diesel 850 Clutch Kit provides more that 30 percent additional clamping force over a factory unit to give the needed confidence to put more power to the ground or haul large loads. Designed to handle up to 850 lb-ft of torque or an additional 100 to 200 hp (over stock), the kit features a matched pressure plate and high-torque ceramic button-style disc.

Braking Control

Being able to control a truck’s speed is important, so AFE Power introduced the Brakelogic Exhaust Brake Controller for ’17-to-’18 Ford trucks with 6.7L Power Stroke diesels. The plug-and-play controller electronically closes off turbocharger vanes to provide engine braking. It is able to provide braking assistance up to 130 retarding horsepower, while controlling transmission downshifts (when needed) and maintaining constant speed on descents. It easily plugs in and utilizes the “Tow/Haul” switch for operation.
