Forged Performance

Mahle Motorsports has developed new forged pistons for high-output 6.7L Cummins engines. The pistons are made using Mahle’s proprietary M142 alloy forgings, which are machined with specific profiles and ovality geometries, profiled pin bores, and radius’d valve pockets. A Grafal skirt coating is used to reduce drag and wear along with hard-anodized top-ring grooves.

Three-Spring Boost Control

NGR Performance’s V3 wastegate is the first in its class to have three springs in one unit. The use of three springs allows for improved fine-tuning. Each spring activates as adjustments are made, giving an individual full control of the wastegate and eliminating the need to disassemble the valve in order to change springs. The V3 is available in 38mm and 50mm sizes.

Armed and Ready Ram

MaxTrac Suspension’s Ram 2500 and 3500 Four-Link Arm Kit uses unique 6082 T-6 aircraft-grade, hot-forged-aluminum arms that allow caster to be adjusted without having to drop them out. The arms are designed with chromoly sleeves at the axle end and spherical rod ends on the bracket end. Brackets are made from ¼-inch plate steel and can be installed without any modifications. The kit will work with any competitor’s 4- to 7-inch suspension system for ’13-and-newer trucks.

Brush-Free Fueling

Big horsepower definitely requires large quantities of fuel. And fulfilling an oil-burner’s need for lots of diesel is why Aeromotive developed the 5.0-gpm Brushless Fuel Pump. With an amazing 5-gpm capacity, the pump definitely raises the bar for electric units. Available in three configurations—round body (clamps included), signature body (integral mounting tabs), and as an in-tank (fuel cell) module—the brushless pump can be purchased already mounted and ready to go in a 6-, 15-, or 20-gallon fuel cell.

Cooling Package

ETL Performance Products has a performance intercooler kit for all ’13-and- newer Ram trucks with 6.7L Cummins engines. The ’cooler system improves airflow, decreases charge-air temperature, and reduces EGT at any power level. A key feature is the 3-inch aluminum, mandrel-bent intercooler piping that is engineered with less restrictive bends. The intercooler is bar-and-plate design and features durable cast-aluminum end tanks. Silicone boots and constant-tension T-bolt clamps are included in the kit.

Pushrod Performance

Pushrods are an integral part of a Cummins engine’s valvetrain. If they fail, it’s likely the entire engine will, too. That’s why Manton Pushrods developed ½-inch-diameter chromoly drop-in pushrods with .120- and .188-wall thickness for 5.9L and 6.7L Cummins engines from ’98½ to present. The rods are rated for 2,000 hp.

Dash Display

Stock instrument clusters only display a limited amount of information. That’s why PPE developed the Datadash. The small unit plugs into a truck’s gauge-cluster wiring harness and intercepts the CAN bus signal, providing additional engine and drivetrain information that’s displayed via the information screen. The tow-haul button, tap-shift rocker, and trip reset control the screen functions. The Datadash can also force DPF regeneration and clear diagnostic trouble codes.

Simplified Swaps

Fitting a diesel engine into short-wheelbase rigs like Jeeps, International Scouts, Toyotas, and Ford Broncos with manual transmissions can be a daunting task. Quickdraw Brands designed its SAE 3 bellhousing–to–NV4500 adapter kit to make completing the link easier. The unique aluminum bellhousing’s short profile provides the extra room needed for fitting oil-burners into engine bays that are normally too tight. Any compression-ignition powerplant with an SAE 3 bolt pattern can be mated to an NV4500 manual transmission using the Quickdraw housing.

Fuel Versatility

The Fuelbox FTC60 Combo is a 57-gallon fuel tank and toolbox combination that mounts in a truck’s bed. What makes it unique is it can be used with two different transfer options. Fuel can be transferred automatically to the stock fuel tank using the Auto Fuel Controller system or to equipment via the TP13 transfer pump.

Clamping Force

The Hays Diesel 850 Clutch Kit provides more than 30 percent additional clamping force over a stock clutch and gives drivers confidence when putting more power to the ground or hauling large loads. Designed to handle up to 850 lb-ft of torque or an additional 100 to 200 hp over stock, the kit features a matched pressure plate and high-torque ceramic button-style disc.

Logical Braking

Being able to control a truck’s speed is important, especially when descending steep grades. For ’17 and ’18 Ford Super Duty pickups with 6.7L Power Stroke engines, AFE Power’s Brakelogic Exhaust Brake Controller is a plug-and-play device that electronically closes off turbocharger vanes to provide increased engine braking (up to 130 retarding horsepower). The controller also manages transmission downshifts (when needed) and maintains constant downhill speed. A truck’s “Tow/Haul” switch operates Brakelogic.

Adjustable ’Gate

A truck’s tailgate normally has two positions: up and down. The Gate King from Castel gives you another option, the ability to adjust the gate to eight different positions through its arch, thanks to patented Tailgate Adjuster technology. The tailgate-cable replacements have a ratcheting mechanism that makes it possible to hold a gate at the angle at which it’s positioned.

Adapting Transfer Cases

A stock transfer case can make installing an Allison 1000 automatic transmission in Ford, Dodge, and Ram four-wheel-drive trucks pretty tricky. So, to simplify the process, Custom Automatic Conversions developed the Transfer Case Adapter for ’10-and-newer Allisons. The adapter allows non-GM transfer cases to be coupled to the transmission’s tailhousing without the need for any drilling while accommodating the needed speed sensors.

Tightened Turbos

Turbochargers are subjected to a lot of heat and vibration, which can cause their mounting hardware to eventually loosen. Stage 8 Locking Fasteners’ Locking Turbocharger Nut and Bolt kits make sure ’chargers stay in their place. Metric-grade 10.9 fasteners and stainless steel locking hardware make up Stage 8’s mechanical locking-nut-and-bolt system, which is guaranteed to always stay tight.

Quicker Sensor Replacement

Changing a fuel rail’s pressure-release-valve sensor on ’11-and-later 6.6L Duramax LML engines can be a daunting, eight-hour job (it’s located under the EGR valve). To help simplify the task, SP Tools developed the Duramax Fuel Pressure Release Tool (PN 14400). This uniquely designed two-piece wrench eliminates the need to remove the EGR valve, which allows the sensor to be replaced in about 1½ hours.

Stout Steering

Bilstein’s new B8 5100 Dual Steering Damper Kit features two steering dampers that improve the steering isolation on late-model Ram 2500 and 3500 four-wheel-drive pickups. The kit mounts both dampers inline and opposing each other, which greatly enhances the steering’s “on center” feel. The dampers bolt directly onto a truck’s solid front axle and steering components.
