Roger Pineda has a sweet regular-cab 6.0L Silverado. Wait a second, you say…Chevy never offered a factory 6.0L regular-cab Silverado. And you’d be right. That’s because Pineda did a custom engine swap to put the biggest engine offered in a Chevy half-ton at the time into the smallest, lightest body, the age-old formula for performance. But he didn’t stop there. The engine got a 224/228 Comp Cams camshaft, heavy-duty Tooley valve springs, Doug Thorley headers, a 3-inch Magnaflow exhaust, and a custom tune by CHP. The power is routed through a 3,200-stall Circle D converter to a 4.11 rearend with an Eaton TruTrac locker. Keeping the truck planted is a DJM 4/7 lowering kit with Crespo Suspensions stabilizer bars. Giving the truck an even more distinctive look is a 2006 Silverado HD front clip and a custom Frozen White paintjob.
