What better truck to represent at a performance truck competition than the definitive performance truck – the Ford F-150 Lightning? That’s just what Jesus Delgado from Ontario, California did. Although the Lightning is pretty awesome straight off the showroom floor, Delgado kicked it up a notch with some strategic tuning to Dearborn’s hot-rod hauler. The factory 5.4L supercharged V-8 breathes through a set of Dynatech headers, a Bassani midpipe and cat-back exhaust, with a custom ECU tune. The transmission is upgraded with a Punisher valve body and 2,400 rpm stall converter. To keep the Lightning planted on the street and track, Delgado installed DJM upper and lower control arms, Hotchkis front and rear sway bars, QA1 shocks at all four corners and Belltech hangers and shackles on the rear leafs. The truck has a planted stance on 295/45-18 front and 305/45-18 rear Nitto drag radials. To give the truck a custom look, Delgado installed a Harley Davidson-edition grille, custom headlights, and a Cervini’s tailgate wing.
