2015 Ford F-150 Halo Sandcat
Ford Teams Up With 343 Industries to Bring Halo To Life
Ahead of the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, California, Ford has partnered with video game maker 343 Industries to bring one of its most popular games, Halo, to life. With the help of legendary auto customizer Galpin Auto Sports, this 2015 Ford F-150 was transformed into the Halo Sandcat. Outfitted in the style of Master Chief himself, the Halo Sandcat features a long-travel suspension from Addictive Desert Designs. The ADD XTR kit includes custom Fox bypass racing shocks front and rear, Deaver leaf springs, a Currie Enterprises full-floating Ford 9-inch rear axle, 17-inch KMC wheels, and 35x12.5R17 Nitto Mud Grappler tires.
A custom full-body wrap gives the truck a distinctly Halo feel, while the ADD-sourced front and rear bumpers provide protection for whatever alien life forms you might encounter. The Sandcat received the official designation of M552 by the United Nations Space Command. True Ford history buffs will recognize the similarity to Ford’s official internal code name for the 2015 F-150: P552. Flared fenders, rock sliders, and a chase rack round out the exterior modifications.
The interior is outfitted with a custom Xbox One gaming system that is truly otherworldly. Rear seat passengers will be fully immersed in the game through the use of headrest-mounted displays and a window-rattling sound system.
If you work in the gaming industry, and plan on attending E3, the 2015 Ford F-150 Halo Sandcat will be on display in the South Hall entrance of the Los Angeles Convention Center. It will continue making the rounds leading up to the launch of Halo 5: Guardians on October 27, 2015.
