"Go big or go home" is a saying that many of us have heard or said to one another. For Mat Hoerauf these have always been words to live by. As the owner and fabricator of Complete Customs the builds that go on in his shop are never for the weakhearted.

From Mat's personal past, he has always been around some sort of custom vehicles that he has built ranging from a '69 Camaro to a 'bagged '03 GMC Sierra to a lifted '13 Ford Raptor. Once Ford released the new body styled F-250 Powerstrokes, the gears in Mat's head started to spin. Living in Odessa, Texas, lifted trucks are the norm on the streets in and around the city, so if he was going to build another custom truck, it would have to stand out. Plus he didn't want to have a lifted truck that was only a show truck; he wanted to prove that you can also make it fully usable out in the mud and dirt, while still being able to be cleaned up to show off at any truck show.

Once the local dealership received their first shipments of the newly designed Powerstrokes, Mat was off to purchase one. It wasn't long before he had a basic white F-250 sitting in his driveway. With his newly purchased truck in his hands the ideas started to turn into reality.

First up was to lay custom paint on his soon-to-be monster truck. Mat had just the guy in mind who would make sure his truck would stand out from the other custom paintjobs out there. Darren Wenzil with Gasoline Art was contracted to work his magic with his airbrush skills, creating a graphic effect making the designs look three-dimensional, giving Mat's truck that true wow factor.

Since the truck was so new at the time of the purchase, Mat did not have many options to choose from to lift his Ford up in the air. He contacted his friend Brian with Bulletproof Suspension to build him a custom, one-off 20-inch lift on Fox coilovers. To go along with the massive lift, not just any wheel and tire combo would work, so a set of 46-inch Mickey Thompson's were mounted up to RBP's Assassins 20x12 wheels. With the lift dialed as well as the wheel and tire package set, Mat was totally satisfied with the results on how his once off the showroom floor truck now has been turned into a monster.

Next, his truck was handed over to Jake Moore with Garage Werks to overhaul the interior and upgrade the audio system. Custom buckets with black leather and suede were stitched up to give the front and rear seats a more custom feel and look. Then, a custom sub box was fabricated to house the four 12-inch Morell Ultimo subs all powered by Zapco amps.

Now with the truck back in Mat's hands his own shop could do their own custom touches to finish out this real head turner that would truly be the biggest truck he has ever owned. Mat would like to give a big thanks his wife, Traci, for supporting him throughout this build. Plus all of his guys at both of the Complete Customs locations for all their work and support in wrapping up this beast of a build.
